Kitchen, Reconfigured
This kitchen was a full tearout and involved reconfiguring the layout of the existing space. We closed off an existing passage from the kitchen to the formal dining to provide more counter space, as well as cabinetry. The original kitchen had a semi-wrap-around design with the sink and dishwasher extending from the short wall at a 45 degree angle. We eliminated the angle, created a passthrough, then built an island which we replumbed for the sink, dishwasher, and electrical supply. We finished off the space with six recessed lights and the pendant lights above the island.
Countertops & Subway Backsplash
Subway tile is a great choice for a kitchen that will age gracefully. The granite countertops are a beautiful addition, as well as durable. With ample space for prepping meals, this client can provide meals for an intimate group or for large-scale entertaining. The white cabinets contrast beautifully against the dark backsplash and will also stand the test of time.
Stainless Steel Appliances
What’s a new kitchen without some modern appliances? Stainless steel is a timeless yet modern choice for kitchen renovations. It looks sleek and goes with any color and finishes.
Open Concept
This kitchen opens into the living room, which makes it ideal for entertaining or watching over little ones in the living room. The newly constructed island provides space to eat in the kitchen, while also giving this client extra storage and prep space.
